It was a gift for my Gr-daughter, I liked it but I'm not really sure if she did.
I've always loved Sandra Lee and now that I have read her story, I have so much more admiration and respect for her. The book moves along pretty fast and I couldn't put it down!

This was a wonderful, fast-paced read. I love the Semi-Homemade show on the Food network, and reading Ms. Lee's story has made me admire her more than ever! I have some of her cookbooks, and I would LOVE to see a book on all her tablescapes sometime, please!
I admired Sandra Lee before but after reading this book I am an even bigger fan. An easy read......and inspirational. Also interesting to see just how QVC treats their vendors......not good!!!!!!
From hardships to strength of character, the path she forged. She gives us more than just the road signs as her story unfolds for us.
While many may be tempted to judge her on her naturally good looks, or amazing success of her semi homemade line... Don't. There is no silver spoon here. No excuses, only explanations. Forgiveness is not just for others but for ones self too.
This book is a real treasure and really opens your eyes to all the trials and tribulations of her life. I just wish she would write another book. I read the "Recipe Box" first and fell in love with the story. Sandra, please write more!
