The Revenge of the Cheerleaders Janette Rallison Books
Revenge of the Cheerleaders spotlights Sam’s (from previous book All's Fair in Love, War, and High School ) best friend, Chelsea! She made appearances in the last two books, but now she gets her own story! So, basically, Chelsea’s younger sister’s boyfriend humiliated her in front of the whole school and now Chelsea is seeking out revenge, as the title suggests. Lol. Amongst all that, Chelsea meets a cute guy, Tanner, at a costume party. She really likes the guy and they start dating, but then she finds out something... this little plot twist, that I actually guessed very early one, but I really appreciated that twist because it sure made things interesting. Lol.Sibling rivalry! Lots of that going around. It was all crazy—with Chelsea and her sister Adrian, and then her boyfriend Rick and his sibling... all insane! Rick and Adrian were little punks. But at the end they had a very heartfelt moment with their respective siblings. It was very sweet.
Speaking of sweet, Tanner was a really nice, sweet guy. I did feel like he was a bit more mature than the other two guys in the previous books, which is not a bad thing! I loved him! I loved him and Chelsea together! Janette Rallison is just amazing at writing these swoon-worthy descriptions!
Logan and Sam update (from All's Fair in Love, War, and High School ): they’re still together! Yay! The couple of cameos they made in this book—they were just really cute!
Revenge of the Cheerleaders was a lot of fun and very funny! It was a short, sweet read with characters and a world I love. I really enjoyed this series and I just love Janette’s contemporary books in general! I am really looking forward to reading more of them!

The Revenge of the Cheerleaders Janette Rallison Books Reviews
Revenge of the cheerleaders
-"What about all that stuff you said last year about taking the high road, and revenge not being the best way? Don’t you believe that anymore?”-
Chelsea can't stand her sister's boyfriend and the feeling is mutual. Rick writes and performs songs about how much he hates cheerleaders and specifically Chelsea herself. Chelsea and Adrianne used to be really close but now that her boyfriend has come between them, Adrianne has become a rebel and does everything in her power to show Chelsea how much she can't stand her. To complicate matters, Chelsea's boyfriend can't stand Adrianne. Will the siblings ever find peace? Or will revenge drive them further apart?
This is a great clean read for teenagers and young adults alike. I really enjoyed it and I recommend it.
This is a story about the battle between the popular cheerleaders and the less popular crowd. Mostly it's about the relationship between two sisters and their different personalities and choice of boyfriends. When the younger sister's boyfriend declares war on the cheerleaders and the older sister through song lyrics, the cheerleaders seek revenge by working toward winning a singing contest so he won't. I enjoyed seeing the dynamics between all the characters evolve. I love Janette Rallison's writing style and have committed myself to reading all her books. Her books are always laugh out loud funny and this book did not disappoint. It's always fun reliving the good ole high school days through fictional characters.
I love Janette Rallison's books. She has such great humor in all of them. I've read this book multiple times and I always enjoy it. I loved reading about Chelsea in more depth than the previous two books she's in (Blue Eyes and Other Teenage Hazards and All's Fair in Love, War, and High School) and seeing what her life is like. I love the interaction between Chelsea and the "Clark Kent guy" and when she finds out who he is. Janette Rallison is my favorite author and I am looking forward to reading more from her.
Chelsea, a cheerleader, has recently been dumped by her boyfriend to go out with one of her best friends. Her younger sister Adrienne has a boyfriend (Rick) who doesn't seem to be a very good influence on her and because of this Chelsea and Rick hate each other. Things only get worse for Chelsea when Rick embarrasses the cheerleader squad at a school pep rally and then singles Chelsea out by writing a song about her. Meanwhile Chelsea meets a super cute guy, but of course things gets really complicated, mostly because Chelsea isn't honest. Sibling jealousy and fighting, misunderstandings, plus a singing competition (think American Idol just for high schoolers) and Chelsea has a lot to deal with.
I did enjoy a lot of the humorous exchanges especially once Chelsea and the twins Molly and Polly became friends. The ones at the post football game party were my favorites. "“It’s one of those mystic twin phenomena! Polly got hurt and so Molly’s nose started bleeding. Amazing!”" and "I’m glad to report that we left with our heads held high, even if it was, in part, because two of us didn’t want to bleed on the carpet." were 2 of my favorites and made me laugh out loud.
This is a clean read for teenagers and part of the Pullman High series.
I really liked how Chelsea, who came across very shallow and judgmental in another book, was fleshed out. She and her sister had rough childhood that they weathered together until a misunderstanding and betrayal caused them to drift apart. I like how the focus, while still a romantic comedy, was also on the relationships between the siblings. Both sets had a lot to learn and the "good" siblings had their flaws as well. Rallison always provides a good dose of humor but also inserts surprising depth of character that takes her books beyond just another high school drama. And, of course, Chelsea's many twisted truths were humorous to follow as they continued to blow up in her face. A fun, lighthearted read.
