At the end of this book, it lists out all of the books this author has written, and it hits me that every single one of them are my go to re-reads. This one will be no exception.

I love books that grab you from the beginning and won't let you go. Ridge and Kendall have this flawless love that grips you from the start. In the beginning you find out about how Ridge's life is about to change, and it doesn't really stop there. Changes and anxious happenings occur, but they are all so good. No angst ridden plots... Just the story of two people learning from one another.

Kendall has been through some emotional times, but it doesn't hold her back from truly experiencing what is meant for her. Ridge is truly a wonderful man, and she knows this from the beginning. There are some challenges, and a HUGE twist, but can these issues be the ending of what they feel for one another? You'll just have to read it to find out.

I really loved this book, and the writing is so good. Being that I have read every single one of her books, you can tell that she blossoms with each new adventure she writes. I promise you will not regret reading this story. Truly amazing.
I have read, and loved, all of Kaylee Ryan's books! This one has definitely been added to the list along with the others. It was such a great read. I fell in love with Ridge from the very beginning. The way that he reacted when faced with his "unexpected reality" was so heartwarming. He stepped up and took his new life by the horns without hesitation or regret. Meeting and falling for Kendall was just an amazing bonus. The love that Ridge and Kendall form will leave you swooning and anxious to find out what happens next.
The storyline and the writing in this book is flawless, will suck you in and leave you breathless!! There wasn't a lot of angsty, unnecessary drama and that was such a refreshing change of pace. I really enjoy being able to read and follow along with a story without all of the drama that normally bombards characters. I love a love story that is just that...a story of tap people that fall in love and take you along for the journey. One-click this amazing story! You will not be disappointed!!!
I had just read Beyond bases 5 star book and needed another Kaylee Ryan book. Will be some spoiler alerts thought it was going to be another 5 star by the cover and the first several chapters then it all just went down hill. This story would have been so much better if Melissa had lived and they built a future together with their son but no the story made it sound like Ridge couldn't stop thinking about her but their is no funeral and once he meets Kendell Melissa was just a one night stand then Kendell turns out to be Melissa twin sister and Ridge just got annoying. Worse book I've read in a long time so glad it's over!!!
My gosh this book left me speechless and left my heart feeling all warm and fuzzy. My, Ridge is just the ultimate hero the way he stepped in when he saw a women(Dawn) he didn't know trying to fix a flat tyre in the pouring rain to stopping for an accident and never leaving when you didn't even know the women involved in the accident had me falling hard for Ridge, then the hearbreaking moment he found out that he knew the women in the accident and it turned out it was Melissa and she was pregnant with his child the way he handled that situation was so humbling. But my biggest heartbreak had to be Melissa my heart broke for her, she went through so much but she was such an endearing character. Kendall was a beautiful soul and to read about her and Ridges love story was just awesome. Kendall with little baby Knox was just so heart warming she was just so loving and was exactly what a mother should be. The characters in this book have been woven into my heart and will stay there for years to come. This book is an unforgettable read and it will be a book that will be reread many a time for me.

So I like this author. I've read her other stuff and it's got that kind of "make you feel good" vibe to it (call me cheesy, i love that.).
_Unexpected Reality_ attempted that in the 2nd half but I'm so sad to say it didn't work for me.

Things I did like
Ridge's character in the 1st half.
That there was a plot twist.
There was initial good recovery from the plot twist.
The single dad idea.

Things I didn't like
Instalove.
The plot twist. (i'm so bipolar i know, but I haven't cried at 25% in a book.... ever. It takes a good author to make you cry, so i still tip my hat to the author!But how it was all wrapped up? It just didn't work for me. / )
Details that didn't match up.
WHERE WAS MELISSA'S FUNERAL???
So.... it's mentioned that Ridge is Melissa's last remaining "family" member when it comes to hospital calls... but there's no ceremony of any kind after she dies? And she said there was going to be an inheritance for her baby boy so I kept waiting for a call from a lawyer... bank... something... Nope. Nothing.
No one cares that she's dead?
Not even a quick paragraph of a single dad spreading her ashes somewhere while holding their son? Nada?
And I liked Kendall for a hot second and then she was more like a door mat.
And Ridge? Loved him the 1st half.
Found him completely annoying the 2nd half. And not just because he uttered "sweet girl" every other sentence. He actually seemed creepy the stuff he was saying to her before they were "official."
I still really like the author and know she'll put out good stuff, this one just fell flat for me.
